Our handcrafted yurts are aesthetically pleasing and are built using the finest BC kiln-dried Douglas fir with components that are designed and built to last. The Lodgepole pine we use has been environmentally harvested and milled especially for Yurtco.

Most of the ingredients used in the vinyl covering are, in fact, listed by the Federal Drug Administration in the USA as safe for food contact.

Our head office and manufacturing facility is located in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. (Just a few miles from the City of Vancouver, BC). We are an easy three-hour drive north on I-5 from Seattle, Washington.

Co-founder Frank Wingelman is a craftsman with a background in engineering and manufacturing. Frank’s yurt designs have been designed for the 21st century... they are easy to set up, use the best quality materials available, and will provide you with years of comfort.
